Software and online booking calendar for a hair salon

A hair salon's online booking calendar is the calendar where the client chooses a cut, colour or barbering, the stylist and a time that is free. BeautyCalendar places that booking calendar on the salon's page.

What a hair salon booking calendar sorts out

At reception the phone, WhatsApp and the paper book get mixed together. Someone asks for highlights on Saturday, another person wants the same slot with the same stylist, and the men's cut at noon runs long. An online booking calendar does not guess the work: it uses the duration in minutes that you set on each service and does not offer a time that overlaps another appointment for that professional.

BeautyCalendar is not a marketplace where the salon competes to appear. The client books on your page. The address can be the included subdomain, of the form beautycalendar.pro/tunegocio, or the domain you already have and connect from the dashboard. The catalogue shows the name, the price, the description and, if you upload them, up to three photos per service.

Cuts, colour, highlights and barbering, each with its own time

A trim does not take as long as a bleach, a balayage, a toner or a beard trim. Each service is created with its price and its minutes. If the colour has two timings — roots and lengths, or with and without a treatment — variants of the same service are created: each variant has its name, its price and its duration. The calendar books the whole block, not a generic half-hour slot.

You can group services into categories (cut, colour, treatments, barbering) and mark which ones are featured on the salon's homepage. A service can stay for the team only, without being published on the website, when it is an internal touch-up or a colour test you do not want booked on its own.

Several chairs, not a single column

Each stylist is a professional with a weekly schedule and with the list of services they do perform. If someone does not do barbering, that service does not appear in their column. The client can ask for a specific person. The team sees the salon calendar and also enters appointments from the dashboard, not only those that come in through the website.

There is no grid of chairs or cabins in the code, separate from the person. The chair is organised with the professional and with the duration of the service. If two stylists work at the same time, that is two booking calendars. If one person covers two stations, it is still one booking calendar: the software does not split one stylist into two simultaneous slots.

What happens after booking

The client record stores the contact details, notes and appointment history. Automatic reminders go out by email and by WhatsApp at 24 hours and at 4 hours, if there is a valid email or phone number. The scheduler does not send an SMS appointment reminder. We do not state a percentage of appointments recovered: the code sends the notice, it does not measure how many clients stop missing appointments.

Session packs exist for anyone who sells a package (several blow-dries, a pack of treatments). The package has a number of sessions, a price and the counter of sessions used. The product shop is in the dashboard: the client can buy and come to collect. Home delivery is a switch on the centre, and it is not switched on by itself. The gallery is for posting work if you upload the photos.

Price, trial and what is not active

In Spain and in the rest of the EU-27, one centre is 29,90 € a month. VAT is not included in that figure: Stripe Tax calculates it from the billing address at sign-up. Two centres or more use the sign-up table, not a fee per chair. The trial is 14 days, with a card required. The monthly fee is not charged until the trial ends. If you tick assisted setup, those 100 € as a one-off payment are charged at sign-up.

The monthly fee does not carry a percentage on each cut. The payments dashboard warns that card payment at booking (Stripe Connect) is not yet in production: today the client books and pays at the salon. The code, in case that charge is switched on, provides for a 1 % platform commission on the online payment, separate from Stripe's fee. The dashboard can store a deposit (a percentage or a fixed amount, new clients only or weekends only), but that card charge is not running.

If the subscription is on Stripe, the account holder can schedule cancellation from the profile. The subscription continues until the end of the period already started. Hostly is the website receptionist: if you connect it, it can create, change and cancel appointments in the same booking calendar. The dashboard states 1.500 replies a month included, for the website and the dashboard together, and packs of 500 further replies at 10 €, including VAT, bought in the Hostly dashboard.

Frequently asked questions

Does the hair salon's online booking calendar replace the phone?

It does not close it. Anyone who wants to calls, and the team enters the appointment in the same calendar. Anyone who prefers the website chooses the service, the professional and a free time, including when the salon is closed.

Can I have several stylists?

Yes. Each professional has their own hours and services. There is no chair booking calendar independent of the person.

Is there a commission on each booking?

The monthly fee does not charge a percentage per appointment. Card payment on the booking is not in production. If it were switched on, the code applies a 1 % platform commission on that online payment, in addition to Stripe.

How long does the trial last?

14 days, with a card. The monthly fee is charged when the trial ends. Assisted setup of 100 €, if you tick it, is charged at sign-up.
